Just a reminder that on Monday 28th June we have what will hopefully be a very special evening with Andrew Brooks. Andrew is a local professional photographer and digital artist who was commissioned by Urbis last year to create an exhibition entitled ‘Hidden Manchester’ which as the title suggests, involved an insight into areas of the city normally not accessible to the general public. In particular, he produced a range of superb images of the (extremely dark!) hidden tunnels by merging together several hundred individual shots, each which illuminated a slightly different area of the final combined result.

Having seen Andrew’s work at Urbis last year and a sneak preview of his presentation a couple of weeks ago, I would say that this is night not to be missed.

MAG are holding a fund raising ‘treasure trail’ around Manchester on Sunday 13th June. The event will apparently take you to places in the city that you won’t have seen before, including a guided tour of one of Manchester’s secret tunnels.

I’m sure the event will be of interest to many people and is also in aid of a very worthy cause. For further details please visit
